When the time comes to select new flooring for your Austin area home, we have some tips for you to consider:
- Location Matters… What is the location in your home you will be installing in used for?
- Don’t break the bank…How much is your budget for your new flooring?
- Define Your Style… What style best fits your needs and tastes?
(Aesthetics is important but how you and your family live and use your home is the most significant factor in choosing flooring. Let’s face it, carpet in the kitchen or bathroom is never a good idea! You also don’t want to wind up replacing the floors again in a couple years because the floor could not keep up with your pets or children.)
- Protect your possessions… Who will be responsible for moving your furniture?
- Dustless or Traditional?… Do you want to Go Dustless when removing your old flooring? (This will speed up your project and protect your family and home from dust and toxins)
- What do I do with the old flooring?… If you are having your installer also remove your old flooring, find out if they dispose of your existing flooring.
- Longer lasting floor… Make sure your installers Start With a Level Surface!
- Keep the air you breathe in mind… Take measures to provide an adequate supply of fresh air during the entirety of the installation. (If you are not going dustless do this for this removal as well.)
